The 2021 edition of the most exciting event of the summer is less than two weeks away. This year’s The Basketball Tournament kicks off on Friday, July 16, with the greatest franchise in the tournament’s history — the 2019 TBT Champions, Carmen’s Crew — tipping off during the second weekend at 9 p.m. ET on Friday, July 23.

The Ohio State alumni team will be hosting one of the four TBT regions at OSU’s Covelli Center and the championship rounds will be played just down the road (I-70) in Dayton. And while we are all pumped to see some of our favorite former Buckeyes back on the court, there is a lot more to be excited about from TBT this year.

For the first time, TBT will be holding a bracket challenge, with the top finishers winning some exciting prizes. The first place winner will receive one Bitcoin — or the cash equivalent when the tournament’s final basket is made. As of this typing, it is currently at $34,594.32... no wait, it went up to $34,597.20... hold on, now it’s at $34,595.27.

The second place finisher wins one Ethereum coin (or cash equivalent), as of this second, it’s valued at $2,214.86. Third place gets one Dogecoin (or cash equivalent) , which as of right now is less than a quarter, but it’s better than nothing.

But, here’s the thing, because LGHL is the longtime home of the biggest Buckeye TBT stans, we are going to be running our own bracket, and giving away some pretty sweet prizes as well.
