Look, we get it. Your days are busy and you don’t have time to read all of the stories and tweets from the three dozen websites dedicated to covering Ohio State athletics, or the 237 Buckeye beat writers churning out hot takes and #content on a daily basis. But that’s ok, that’s what your friends at Land-Grant Holy Land are here for.
Monday through Friday, we’ll be collecting all of the articles, tweets, features, interviews, videos, podcasts, memes, photos, and whatever else we stumble across on the interwebz and putting them in our daily “Why is this News?” article. That way, you’ll have a one-stop-shop for all of the most important Buckeye news, jokes, and analysis.
You’re welcome!

Five Questions as Buckeyes undergo complete reload at linebacker
- Austin Ward, Lettermen Row
According to Lettermen Row’s Austin Ward, for some godforsaken reason, Palaie Gaoteote has to wait for a transfer waiver to be approved by the NCAA before he can officially join the Ohio State football team, despite the one-time transfer rule being put into place this offseason. The NCAA is truly idiotic.

And now for something completely different
I interned at the old 1460 The Fan back in the early 2000s when I was a senior at OSU. Paul Keels (along with D.R. Railsback and my now good friend Lori Schmidt) were incredibly kind and helpful during my six months there. Paul even let me interview him after my internship was done for a JComm paper. He is as good of a person as he is an announcer, and since he is the best in the business, that should say a lot!
Paul Keels, the beloved Voice of Ohio State football and basketball, was born on this day in 1957 turn 64 today. Happy Birthday and many happy returns. @OhioStateFB @OhioStateHoops https://t.co/ulbq2qvb9R pic.twitter.com/WVn1NnvTn7
