After receiving commitments from blue-chip prospects on both Sunday and Monday, the streak came to a conclusion on Tuesday. However, Ohio State was still able to secure some more significant news on the recruiting trail regarding an elite player in the defensive secondary.
Harris reveals top schools
The Buckeyes pursuit for five-star 2023 cornerback A.J. Harris of Glenwood School (AL) officially got underway back in March when the program dropped an offer to the 6-foot-2, 180-pounder. Now, the Scarlet and Gray have become a major player in his recruitment and have to like their current position with the No. 23 player overall in his class.
Harris, who is also the second-highest rated cornerback for 2023, revealed his top schools on Tuesday night and Ohio State was unsurprisingly included. The competition makes for a hard-fought battle going forward as head coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes will have to propel themselves ahead of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame and more to obtain his pledge.

White entering decision mode
Ohio State currently sits atop the 2022 recruiting rankings with a class that features five prospects inside the Top 50. Another name to watch closely going forward is four-star EDGE Enai White of Imhotep Institute (PA). The No. 39 ranked player overall is “nearing a decision,” according to Brian Dohn of 247Sports. He also took to Twitter on Tuesday morning that he will be narrowing things down and focusing on four schools “soon.”
Dropping my final 4 soon ....

White made stops at Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas A&M for visits in the month of June. While we will have to wait for the word from the Pennsylvania standout himself, the Buckeyes are a school that should feel optimistic about their chances of landing in the top group and will likely be in this one until the end.
